Welcome to the 2013 Summer ATV Season!
Experience a Summer Paradise with Toby Creek Adventures.
Join us for a unique family adventure that will most certainly be a memorable highlight of your summer. Leave the busy highways and bustling towns behind for a day and come explore Paradise at 8000’ in the Purcell Mountains of British Columbia. This is the real thing – fresh mountain air, cool clear tumbling streams and waterfalls, breath-taking scenery, huge views of mountain peaks, carpets of alpine flowers and the opportunity to view wildlife in their natural environment.
Our professional and experienced interpretive guides will teach you everything you need to know to ride safely. There is plenty of time for you to practice before we head out on the trail. We make lots of stops along the way. There’s no rush so bring your camera, use it often and enjoy meeting your fellow explorers from all over the world.
At the mid-point of our trip, we visit a classic back-country cabin located right at tree-line with an expansive view of a high alpine bowl and craggy peaks. You may even see some mountain goats, a family of deer or even a few marmots. This is also the location of the former Paradise Mine. It’s a rare opportunity to take a step back in time to a by-gone era of local history. Explore an old wooden dam, the remains of log cabins and an aerial cable-way that once transported the ore from the mine to the crusher. Paradise was once a very busy place but now it is known for peaceful seclusion. Sit for a moment and listen to the call of the raven, the rush of a tumbling snow-melt stream and the distant crack of rock fall across the valley.
All our trips include refreshments and if you chose our full-day option we will serve you with a tasty BBQ lunch. The return trip back to the valley uses the same trail but offers many scenic perspectives that you missed on the way up. The most common request we get at the end of the trip is; “That was amazing, can we go do it again?”
June-July: Melting snow, rushing streams and waterfalls, fresh green growth, emerging flowers and wildlife.
August: Carpets of brilliant alpine flowers
September: The breathtaking season of the golden larches – not to be missed
October: Clear crisp air, a palate of fall colours and occasionally a light dusting of fresh white snow (magical).
Come and spend a special day in our beautiful BC mountains with us. We are very much looking forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
Scott Barsby
